Hoon Mai Hong, Managing Director
Hoon Mai Hong has over 30 years of experience in the field of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) for the Oil and Gas Industry. He was formerly the General Manager of Rotary Engineering’s wholly owned subsidiary – Rotary Electrical Co. Pte Ltd (“REC”). During his tenure in REC, Hoon was fully in charge of the operational aspects of the Asia Pacific region. He held key roles in many projects, some of which included the Qatar Gas II Development Project for Aramco RT Sea Island Project, the ERHA FPSO, Panyu and Shell EA Development Project by SOME. He was also responsible for the success of the Singapore Olefins Project for Exxon Singapore Chemical Complex, where REC was engaged to undertake the above ground E&I work for the ISBL area. Hoon’s vast experience and excellent hands-on knowledge played an integral role in the success of REC, which is known today as the leading E&I service provider to the Oil & Gas Industry in Singapore.
Lim Hock Hai, Director
Lim Hock Hai has been with the Rotary Group of Companies since 1982. Over the last 30 years, Lim has taken part in various turnkey E&I projects in Singapore as well as Malaysia. He began his career with Rotary Group in supervising the workforce involved in the ESSO expansion projects. As he grew with the company along the years, he was entrusted with bigger responsibilities such as overseeing projects for Singapore Refining Company, the BASF EPS Plant in Singapore as well as for Vopak Chemical Terminal. When Rotary Group ventured into the Malaysian market, Lim was seconded to Rotary MEC (M) Sdn Bhd, mainly to oversee the execution of E&I projects there for a host of international main-contracting companies. Amongst the projects undertaken include Gumusut-Kakap Semi-Submersible FPS topsides for SSPC, PSR-II Melaka Project for Chiyoda Corp, MSE Furnaces Project in Pasir Gudang for AGRA Birwelco Ltd, Malaysia Shipyard Larut-A Topside Project, Systomer Latex SBR Production Project for Mowlem Engineering in Johor, Pluto LNG Project in Ramunia and the FPSO Kikeh Topsides Project under MMHE.
Khoo Kim Min, Director
Khoo joined the Rotary Group of Companies since 1982. He started out supervising the workforce involved in various projects for Exxon, Mobil and Singapore Refinery. Through the years, he was entrusted with the role of Superintendent for many key expansion projects of the refineries and process plants in Singapore. Khoo’s experience was further extended into overseeing E&I offshore-related projects. He was part of the team which successfully executed projects such as topside works for the Laminaria and Coralline Development Project (Woodside Australia), the Malampaya Platform Development Project for Shell Philippines, Shell EA FPSO Development Project for Shell Nigeria, the Panyu 4-2 / 5-1 Field Development Wellhead Platform Project for Devon Energy in China, ERHA FPSO for Saipem S.A and most recently, the Remote Instrument Enclosure projects for Saudi Aramco.
